Level 1 – Fundamentals 5:30pm
Level 1 will focus on learning to use your gun safely and effectively. These sessions will establish the mechanics of shooting and will cover safety, grip, stance, recoil management, and building good habits.
Who is this class for?
All shooters, whether you just bought your first gun or you want to dust your old one off. This is about learning the fundamentals and getting comfortable with your handgun.
What will we do?
Foundations will begin with time in the classroom where we will cover the course of fire for the evening and introduce the methods and skills we will be working on. When we head out to the range, we will be behind the benches focusing on drills that build accuracy and consistency.
Fundamentals – what to expect
What you need to know
- Shooters may opt to bring their own semi-automatic handgun or rent one of ours (price included in the cost of the class)
- Calibers: .22 and 9mm
- Round count: 50-100 rounds
- Scoring: There are times we will keep time/score, but it will be for the purpose of tracking progress, not competing
Level 2 – Skills (Advanced Shooters) 5:30pm
Level 2 will build on the fundamentals introduced in Level 1. These sessions are designed to raise the standard and enhance your proficiency in skills such as target transitions, reloads, and speed.
Who is this class for?
Advanced shooters. This is for the shooter who has experience and knowledge about the safety and mechanics of their handgun and is ready to push their capability.
What will we do?
Skills will begin on the range. Shooters will cycle through multiple drills per session. Range time may include shooting from behind the benches, downrange, or a combination of both.
What to expect –
- Shooters must bring their own semi-automatic handgun (.22, .380, 9mm)
- Gear requirement: belt, holster (no leather or “floppy” holsters), 2+ magazines
- Round count: 150-200 rounds
- Scoring: times/scores will be kept. Friendly competition is encouraged.

Blended Nights 5:30pm – There will be opportunities for Fundamentals (Level 1) and Skills (Level 2) to mix and meet. These nights will include a short-range time with a “test” for each level to complete and to track individual progress.
These nights are a chance to:
- Meet women who share a love for the sport
- Set goals and review progress
- “Show and tell” – swap tips, tricks, and gear recommendations
Existing and New Shooters
Existing: Current L&L attendees will self-classify as Level 1 or Level 2 shooters. Where they attend class is ultimately at the instructor’s discretion.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
New to the program: A new shooter may observe at no cost (no range time). New shooters are required to attend Fundamentals before they attend Skills. They must also arrive 15 minutes early for their first session, which includes a new shooter orientation.
